How Four Fluffy Samoyeds Captivated Sundance Audiences

Strategic creative agency eyeball produced this poignant doc "Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory," which premiered at Sundance this past weekend to a full house.Directed by Michael Rossato-Bennett, "Alive Inside" investigates the power music has to awaken deeply locked memories. The film follows social worker Dan Cohen and renowned neurologist Dr. Oliver Sacks as they investigate the "awakening" effect of music on patients with dementia and Alzheimer's.eyeball Founder Limore Shur is one of the executive producers of the film. He felt that simple, smart outreach during the festival would be the most effective way connect to with people on a personal and emotional level -- in the same way that the doc's topic would resonate with diverse audiences. To do so, he enlisted the help of his two beautiful Samoyed dogs, #FloppyBear and #PolaBear, and their two Samoyed friends, O'Sophie and Brylee (bred by Salt Lake City-based Camille Smith) to make the rounds at the festival. The result? Hundreds of photo opportunities, tens of thousands of "Likes" on Instagram and Facebook, a few celeb photos and shout-outs with the dogs, including Mad Men's Christina Hendricks and actress Rose McGowan, favorited by Hulu and other brand sponsors, and this post on Funny Or Die.
